Mechanism Overview

Spicule's Dual-Phase Action Mechanism

BSPN SPICULE is an insoluble physical stimulation agent that performs a Dual-Phase action: physical microchannel formation → induction of the skin's own wound-healing response → natural elimination. It shares the same physical principle as microneedling and fractional treatments, and the skin itself — not SPICULE — is the source of regeneration.

PHASE 01Drug Delivery System

Transdermal Drug Delivery Through Microchannels

When applied to skin, SPICULE creates microchannels in the stratum corneum through physical friction. Through these channels, transdermal absorption of active ingredients is dramatically enhanced. Compared to standard application, the penetration of active ingredients is significantly improved (Kim TG 2022, PMID 35034416).

1

SPICULE penetrates the stratum corneum, forming fine microchannels

2

Channels remain open and gradually close over up to 120 hours (5 days)

3

Active ingredients (ampoules, serums, etc.) are absorbed transdermally through the channels

4

Ingredients are delivered to the basal layer, accelerating the skin regeneration cycle

Microchannel Formation

다수

Spicules form densely distributed microchannels in the stratum corneum.

Skin Implant Effect

Sustained

Spicules continuously deliver active ingredients throughout the natural exfoliation cycle.

Enhanced Ingredient Penetration

향상

Through microchannels formed in the stratum corneum, the penetration of active ingredients is significantly improved compared to control (Kim TG 2022).

Differentiation

BSPN Spicule's Differentiation vs. Other Ingredients

BSPN spicule is a distinctive ingredient category that combines physical active-ingredient delivery, physical micro-stimulation, and natural elimination — all in one.

BSPN Spicule = Multi-Functional Integrated Ingredient

Integrates physical active-ingredient delivery, physical micro-stimulation, and natural elimination into a single ingredient. While other ingredient categories provide only 1–2 functions, BSPN is a distinctive multi-functional ingredient that combines all three.
